I've been fairly negligent on doing anything with this.

Studying is coming along. It's been slow going so far but it should really pick up here now that fall is here and I should FINALLY be getting some funding from my employer.

I've heard that the CCIE lab is as much an exercise in speed configuration as it is in actual knowledge. I'm certainly going to be keeping that in mind as I prepare.jdsilvahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04994862503743878350noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3307209550734690454.post-64966003500429434812010-06-19T14:25:39.413-06:002010-06-19T14:25:39.413-06:00Picked up your blog from you following me on Twitt...Picked up your blog from you following me on Twitter. How's the study coming? It's funny what you're saying about "the guys that really know what they're doing"...I felt that way too. What sucks is that yeah - you learn a ton and know your stuff much better. Then you also find you're still a mere mortal with a ton of stuff you still don't know. And then what REALLY sucks is that you forget stuff after passing the lab, which I guess is part of the point of recertification.

One comment on CCIE...it's as much about time management (figuring out how to get a lab done in 8 hours with time leftover to check for mistakes) as it is about the technology. I learned a lot about the technology, absolutely. But I also learned how to manage lab time very well, so that I could get an 8 hour lab done in about 6 or 7, then review.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
